Stress

Everyone is working just as hard as they can to handle whatever challenges are in front of them. So if your life is feeling stressful, it probably indicates that you would benefit from learning new coping skills. Without them, your body can get worn down. You may find stressful times lead you to get more colds, put you in debilitating moods, raise blood pressure, start headaches, make pains feel worse, and accelerate almost any disease process. For some people these symptoms happen after the stress lets up and they are hoping for easier times. This is the way our bodies work. You can learn relaxation techniques, and learn ways to alter your perspective, ask for help, and find ways to shift your mood.

All of the clinicians in our practice are skilled at helping you in these moments, whether your reactions to stress leave you with physical illness or in anxious or depressed moods. Feel free to contact any of us. We are all trained psychotherapists who are willing to help with medication when appropriate as well as mind/body techniques, and even some alternative approaches. Check our biographies for help in deciding.
